Under the auspices of the Assurance Services Association and with the support of MUDEP, our Faculty, the Project Office, and the Faculty of Applied Sciences jointly organized the event titled “Case Method in Business and Accounting Education.” The program was held at the Şehit İstihkâm Üsteğmen Ozan Olgu Köreke Conference Hall. Approximately 60 academics from around 40 universities across various cities in Türkiye participated in the event. As part of the program, a total of nine business visits were conducted, allowing participants to examine case studies on-site.
The opening speech was delivered by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Ali DERAN, who also served as the moderator of the event. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Deran emphasized the contribution of the case method to analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in business and accounting education, and highlighted the importance of academic collaboration.
During the business visits organized within the scope of the program, participants closely examined organizations’ management processes, production and service models, and real-life case examples. The findings obtained from the visits were later discussed in a panel session, where recommendations were developed to strengthen academic and sectoral cooperation. The event concluded with these evaluations.
