The finance sector, which is one of the areas most affected by globalization, has been undergoing significant transformation in line with developments in information technologies. These changes diversify the functioning of financial markets, institutions, and financial instruments.
Financial crises experienced worldwide have reshaped both financial and real sectors, while also intensifying global competition. These developments increase the need for well-qualified professionals who can analyze financial markets, understand international competition, and adapt to rapidly changing economic conditions.
Rather than employing individuals trained outside the field, financial institutions increasingly prefer graduates specialized in banking and finance. In this context, the Banking and Finance Department aims to educate individuals who respect ethical values, possess strong professional knowledge, and meet the workforce needs of the financial sector.
